Oh hey, want to support a grassroots homespun indie literary poetry magazine?

Read & Share
One of the simplest and sweetest ways in which you can support us is by reading and engaging with what we publish, daily via ONLY POEMS DAILY, weekly through our Poet of Week feature, and so much more like our: Poem of the Month, Prize winners, and all the reviews, lists, essays, and interviews we publish on our blog.
If you enjoy what you read, pass it on—to friends, family, lovers, enemies. Send our poems to someone who might need it. And if you’re a teacher, professor, or run a workshop circle, we’re honored to have our work in your classroom.

Make a One-Time Contribution
A one-time contribution helps us keep the lights on, pay our poets fairly and continue publishing the singular work of unmatched poetic finesse that you're now used to seeing in our pages.
Every dollar goes directly into keeping ONLY POEMS alive, kicking, and occasionally screaming beautiful things into the void. No amount is too small. We've been moved to tears by $3 donations. We've done little dances for $10. Don't even get us started on what happens when someone drops $100 (it involves confetti and possibly eating cupcakes).
And the best part? We are lucky to have a generous matching donor, so every contribution comes to us doubled! $1 becomes $2. $1000 becomes $2000. Magic.

Submit Your Work
We're always reading. Obsessively. Hunting for that poem that makes us forget our own names for a second. If you write poetry that you think feels like what Emily Dickinson said a good poem does (look it up!), then send it to us.
Head to our Submit page, read through our guidelines, and send us work in whatever categories we're currently open for. We read everything that comes through our submission portal. We publish poets at every stage of their journey — from "this is my first submission ever and I might throw up" to "I've won all the prizes." What matters is the work itself.
Show us what you've got. Seriously. We're waiting.

Attend Our Workshops
Poetry can be a lonely art. You, the blank page, and that blinking cursor mocking your existence. But it doesn't always have to be that way. Our workshops are where poets become better poets. Where strangers become the kind of writing partners who will tell the cold poetic truth without breaking your heart. Where breakthroughs happen at 12pm on a Saturday and suddenly everyone's crying over some particularly refined enjambment.
Led by experienced, award-winning poets and writers, our creative writing workshops are fun, accessible, and endlessly inspiring. Generally, we host one workshop a month on a different topic or theme, but we usually have six months scheduled out at least, so you can always see what you might be interested in and book a spot (they’re limited in order to create a more intimate learning experience!).

Become a Patron
Patrons give us something we desperately need — the ability to plan ahead. We’re an indie, ad-free lit mag run entirely without the help of grants or any kind of institutional backing, so when you become a patron, you're making an annual commitment that allows our ONLY POEMS to flourish.
Your patronage means we stay independent. We don't have to compromise our vision to please advertisers or shape our content to fit grant requirements. We publish what we believe in. That freedom matters a lot to us — it's why you'll find work in our pages that you won't see anywhere else.
When you become a patron, you're essentially saying you believe poetry should exist on its own terms. You're helping us prove that literary magazines can survive without selling out, that poets deserve to be paid fairly, and that readers will support the work they love.

Write About Us
If you write for newsletters, newspapers, magazines, Lit Hub, Publishers Weekly, New Yorker (why not), The Rumpus, or literally any publication that uses words — hi, we need you. Feature us. Review our poets' collections. Interview our editors about why poetry matters right now. Pitch us to your editors. Tell them poetry is having a moment (it's always having a moment if you're paying attention). Help us infiltrate the literary conversation. Write about how we’re creating an indie, ad-free, reader-supported poetry publication and making it work!
Every article that mentions ONLY POEMS helps us reach readers who don't know we exist yet. We've got stories worth telling. Poets doing incredible things with language. A magazine that's somehow surviving (thriving?) in an impossible publishing landscape. Drama, beauty, and so much more.
Plus, wouldn’t this make a great headline: Don’t Like Poetry? Maybe Read This Literary Magazine Named After Only Fans?

Buy Our Poets' Books
Many of our poets have poetry collections and chapbooks out in the world, and still others are working toward the same. When you buy their books, you're supporting the entire poetry ecosystem – the indie presses who publish poetry, the bookstores that stock their books, and of course the poets themselves who probably have day jobs but spend their lunch breaks scribbling on random receipts because they can't not write.
We love the idea of you holding a whole book by a poet you first discovered in our pages. Share their books with friends who claim they "don't get poetry" (convert them, one accessible yet devastating collection at a time). Gift them to your local library and imagine some teenager finding it and having their world cracked open. Leave them in coffee shops or at bus stops. Start a tiny revolution, one book at a time. Because every book sold is a vote for the kind of world we want to live in — one where poetry matters, where difficult feelings get space, where language does more than just communicate. It transforms and sublimates.

We know your inbox is aflame with promotional emails, abandoned subscriptions, and that newsletter about urban farming that you signed up for three years ago and keep meaning to unsubscribe from but never do. But our newsletters are the talk of the town (ask around if you don’t believe us!) We try to compose them like little love letters to poetry and beauty at large. They're reminders for us (and we'd hope for you too) that poetry is alive and magic is afoot.
